Welcome to Mood and Anxiety Disorders Rounds from the
Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT)

Mood and Anxiety Disorders Rounds, our publication series from the Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT), started in 2009 and we are pleased to continue with six more issues in 2013-14. We hope to provide riveting scientific and clinical information on the understanding and management of mood and anxiety disorders as a learning resource for Canadian psychiatrists. Our first three issues – the enclosed on bipolar treatment guidelines, and the next two on biomarkers in depression and management of anxiety disorders – span both science and clinical experience in the treatment of the most prevalent psychiatric disorders.

The selection of topics presented in Mood and Anxiety Disorders Rounds is determined solely by the representatives of CANMAT listed at right. The editorial content is prepared and edited by our faculty members or specifically invited authors.

We wish to thank and commend our sponsors Lundbeck Canada, AstraZeneca Canada, Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada, and Pfizer Canada for their genuine commitment to unbiased continuing education for the benefit of the psychiatry community. Their financial support in the form of independent sponsorships has made Mood and Anxiety Disorders Rounds possible. We have also benefitted from the use of Knowledge Translation funding from peer-reviewed agencies such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

It is our hope that you will find Mood and Anxiety Disorders Rounds informative, practical, and relevant to your clinical practice. Your thoughts and comments on this ongoing series are most welcome.

Sincerely yours,
